Legendary Hollywood actress and socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor has died aged 99.
While the former Miss Hungary had multiple acting credits, her greatest performance was playing herself.
She was famous for her accented English (calling everyone "darling," which came out "dah-link"), her eccentric name, her offscreen antics (including a 1989 incident in which she slapped a Beverly Hills police officer) and one-liners about her jewels.
But she was also famous for her nine marriages and ex-husbands.
Zsa Zsa famously said: "I am a marvellous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house."
She also said: "A girl must marry for love, and keep on marrying until she finds it."
And that’s just what she did.
Her first marriage was to Burhan Asaf Belge, who was a Turkish politician. They met when she was just 17 at a party her grandmother threw. They married in 1937 when she was 20 and lived in Ankara, Turkey.

In the Hollywood star’s 1991 memoir One Lifetime Is Not Enough, she claimed she enjoyed a whirlwind romance with then-President of Turkey Kema Ataturk while she was still married to Belge. Ataturk was 56 at the time.
“He dazzled me with his sexual prowess and seduced me with his perversion. Atatürk was very wicked. He knew exactly how to please a young girl," she wrote.

Just years after tying the knot with Belge, she decided she wanted to move to America and left her husband behind in Turkey and they eventually divorced in 1941.
That same year, when she was 24, she met hotel magnate Conrad Hilton Sr. and they married the following year.
Just two years later, they were also divorced.

She later claimed she had an affair with Conrad’s son following her split from Conrad Sr.
Zsa Zsa had a daughter, Francesca, during her 1942-46 marriage to Conrad, though he reportedly believed Francesca was not his biological daughter, and the millionaire left her just $100,000 in his will.
After spending much of her life contesting Hilton’s will, Francesca Hilton died destitute on January 6, 2015. Gabor, meanwhile, was the great-great aunt of Paris Hilton.
In 1947 she met actor George Sanders at a party in New York and they got married two years later, but following affair allegations, he filed for divorce and it was granted after six years of marriage.

Her fourth marriage with with investment banker Herbert Hutner but they also divorced four years later.
Other husbands included Joshua Cosden who she was married to for just a year, Jack Ryan (1975-76), who is credited with designing the Barbie doll for Mattel, and Michael O’Hara (1976-83).
Her marriage to actor and attorney Felipe de Alba was annulled in 1983 after a single day because her marriage to Michael O’Hara, her divorce lawyer in her breakup with Ryan, had not been properly dissolved.
In 1986, at age 69, she married Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, some 30 years her junior.
Despite her glamorous image, her life, especially in later years, was marred by battles between Frederic and her daughter.
He was accused by her daughter of keeping her away from her mother, and it is doubtful Gabor knew of her daughter’s death.
Zsa Zsa’s survivors include her husband.
